Missions Conference 2010
Short-Term Mission Trips
Czech
Republic - 2009
Continuing to build on the foundation laid in previous
years, South Dayton Presbyterian Church sent a short term
mission team of seven (pictured with Czech national team
members) to Pastviny, Czech Republic. The team continued in
the tradition of providing quality ESL (English as a Second
Language) instruction during a summer camp of Czech
teenagers. The team also strengthened ties with the
members of the Czech national church that organizes the
camp, and showed Christ as a natural part of their lives to
the students. This year's camp included a large number
of students who have been attending the camp for many years
and who have relationships with Czech church members during
the rest of the year. By God's work, many previously
hardened hearts were found highly receptive.
Czech
Republic - July 2008
In July 2008, South Dayton Presbyterian Church again sent a short term
mission team to Pastviny, Czech Republic. The team taught English
at a camp for Jr. High and High School aged kids, and deepened ties with
our sister church in
Ceska
Trebova
Czech Republic - July 2007
In July, 2007, South Dayton Presbyterian Church’s short term mission
team went to Pastviny, Czech
Republic. The group was to lead an ESL (English as a Second
Language) camp with the goals of providing quality English instruction
and developing relationships with Czech students and the Czech national
church members. On August 19, during the Sunday School time, the
team shared reports of how God used them on this mission and how this
work also impacted their lives.

Czech Republic - April 2007
April 20-30, 2007 Pastor Mark Cary traveled to the Czech
Republic. The primary goals for this trip were:
- to follow-up from last summer's English camp with Bible studies
and basic discipleship
- to speak in the public high schools in the hopes of recruiting
more students to attend English camp in July
- to encourage the church in Ceska Trebova
- to meet with MTW missionaries in Zlin
Czech
Republic 2006
In the summer of 2006, we sent a team of adults and teens, led by Pastor
Cary, to work with the national church in the Czech Republic running an
ESL (English as a second language) camp.
Biloxi
2005
In October of 2005, we sent a team to Biloxi, MS to aid in the disaster
response for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The group of 8 men and
women worked out of a base at First Presbyterian Church, Biloxi clearing
out ruined homes, removing debris, patching roofs, handing out food and
supplies, and ministering to the displaced people of Biloxi and Gulf
Port.
