Adult Classes - Winter 2010

  • "The Gospel Of John": teacher, RE Art Mosher.
This class is open to all adults and will meet in the Worship Center

  • Ladies’ Class "Biblical Foundations for Womanhood ": teacher, Dot Weldon
This is a PCA study to help every woman in the church know Christ personally and be committed to extending Hs kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.  Thinking and living biblically can be challenging in an ever-increasingly secular culture.  This class will give you valuable resources for personal growth and will serve as a means to help SDPC women develop friendships with one another for the purpose of serving Christ together.
This class meets in the Worship Center.

  • "How To Fight Fairly/Resolving Conflicts" (part of Officer Training):
    teacher, RE Wayne Zwart
This class is part of SDPC’s Officer Training. It is a required class for all the men who have been nominated to serve as an officer. Their wives are also strongly encouraged to attend, as well as any other SDPC members who lead a ministry.  All visitors and members are welcomed to attend this class as well.
It will meet in the pastor's office.

In addition to the weekly studies, SDPC offers two more classes on a periodic basis:

  • BASICS: teacher, Pastor Cary and various Elders
This class is for anyone who is interested in finding out more about SDPC. The study covers the purpose and vision of SDPC and the basic doctrines of the PCA. The class is offered about 2 times a year.  It meets for 3 hours on a Friday night along with a dinner, and then 3 more hours on Saturday afternoon.  Those who complete the class are eligible for church membership, but are not required to join.

  • Communicants' Class: teacher, Pastor Cary and various Elders
This class is for children of communing members who have expressed a saving faith in Jesus Christ, and wish to become communing members themselves.  Parents who believe their children are ready should set up an appointment with the pastor.  Pastor Cary will go over with the parents the material the child needs to know and the procedures and requirements we use here at South Dayton Presbyterian Church.
